| 1. Forum Topics should be made as clearly as possible. In other words, take your time and explain what you mean clearly.
2. Members are not allowed to "attack", slander or otherwise flame fellow members. You are also not allowed to post anything that attempts to sow discontent.
3. Members that repeatedly post without following the guidelines will be place in jail (temporary ban from the forums). Habitual offenders will be permanently banned from the forums or have their accounts terminated.
4. Do not type in all capital letters. This is considered as shouting and is difficult to read as well as unsightly.
5. Refrain from making chit chat posts as they turn useful topics into bloated non-useful topics. If you wish to chat, use the chat room or private messages.
6. No advertising here about other symbian sites or any symbian related sites here.
7. Do not post ACTIVE LINKS (LIVE LINKS) to the Developers site like nokia. (You can use the "code" function when posting links)
8. Spamming is strictly prohibited.

Only post when necessary and all your post should be meaningful.

A post which is illegible
A post that makes no sense
A post with only smilies
A post with excessive use of smilies
A post with excessive use of caps (shouting)
A post with only question/exclamation-marks
A post with excessive use of question/exclamation-marks
A post with no relavance to the subject
A post only stating that the previous poster is spamming
A post repeated in same thread
A post repeated in other threads(cross-posting)
A post which is meant to insult or hurt other member's sentiments
A post with links to websites or services, not relavant to the topic
A post with no explanation of why or why not you like/do/want/etc. something
A post for no apparent reason, other than increase post count
A new thread, identical to what someone else have already started in that forum
A new thread, without a proper subject description
A post insulting or hurting any other member by means of words, pictures or graphics is also spamming.
Failure to follow the rules will result in swift disciplinary action from the staff, up to and including account termination. These rules apply to the Forums and Private Messages. | |

Spam will in no way be tolerated:
this includes but is not limited to: selling things, promoting your new
blog and or group, etc...
Spam can also be posting repeated, though different topics.
or repeatedly posting a topic that has been deleted by a mod.
NO POINTLESS THREADWASTING
This includes topics like 'I'm bored','Hello I'm new', 'why was my thread deleted', or 'LOOK AT MY NEW PICS'
These forums are for discussion, not attention seeking.
Any topic considered to be thread waste will be deleted
NO DUPLICATE TOPICS
If a topic exists a couple of pages away covering the same issues then the new one will be deleted.
Take
a moment and look through the first few pages to see if it has already
been posted, if not then it should be okay to post. (nevertheless, if
your topic is deleted for this reason and the other one is bumped, do
not make a new topic asking why your thread was deleted.)
NO POSTING IN WRONG FORUM
If
you are new, try posting in the newbies thread in the general forum, in
our beloved Random Nonsense, or contribute to an existing topic.
Also try to avoid off-topic posts in existing threads (this is why we have Random Nonsense).
NO OBSCENITY
This includes excessive swearing, flaming, posting of pornographic images, racism, homophobia, sexist remarks or bigotry.
NO CROSS-POSTING THE SAME TOPIC
Do not post the same topic in more than one forum.
This is treated as spam.
In Addition..
ALL DELETIONS ARE FINAL.
NO ADVERTISING.
This includes party invites, promos for your new site etc.
Do it in classifieds or it will be deleted.
NO BLOGGING THREADS
